Marina

Tidal Influence

Albion River Campground & Marina is located on a tidal influenced river. Use of our launch facilities is at the boaters own risk. Knowledge of the tides and the ocean conditions outside Albion Cove are critical for safe exit from and return to the marina. Ocean surface conditions are updated every three hours and broadcast by the National Weather Radio. Conditions are also available for Cape Mendocino to Point Arena on the NOAA – National Data Buoy Center website.

Albion River Campground’s Marina facilities can handle vessels up to 24 feet.

Day Use Boat Launch

Use of the dock for boat tie-up is not included in the launch fee. Dock slips are available by reservation only.

Rates

  • $10 per day in our “Pond”. These dock slips are ideal for Zodiacs, Dingies, Kayaks, & Canoes but there is limited to no access to the river during low tide at this location

  • $25 per day for slips at our main dock on the river.

RESTRICTIONS: Day use and day launch available only during normal business hours. Access before or after business hours requires a dock slip reservation for our main dock so you can get a gate code. If your plan is to launch before our office opens, you need to let us know this because we’ll have to give you a gate code the night before you launch. This is the only time we’ll give out a gate code the day before someone’s dock slip check-in date.

The Pond Launch Ramp

The Pond Launch is paved and provides access into a tidal-influenced pond at the east end of the campground. High tide is required to gain access to the river when launching and to the pond when returning to the ramp or dock slips in the pond. There is limited to no access to and from the river during low tide at this location.

Sand Ramp

This boat ramp is only open during the Summer because of the King Tides that come up the river during the Winter. The ramp is located at the southwest end of our campground just before the bridge and it provides direct river access. It’s unpaved and all sand so we highly recommend that you use a 4-wheel drive if you’re going to launch anything other than a kayak or canoe here. The river is also shallow here so it’s only suitable for small boats or boats with shallow hulls.
